Dark Legacy UK Tour

Lacuna Coil have announced that they will be taking the Dark Legacy Tour to the UK, with 5 dates to run through late October 2012. The band is currently in the US with the Dark Legacy tour which celebrates the history of Lacuna Coil with songs from all their albums, as well as an acoustic set.

Tickets are now on sale Friday 4th May for the tour, and you can purchase VIP packages here – don’t miss it!

Lacuna Coils bassist Marco Coti Zelati has joined Instagram; the photo-sharing community that is available via the free applications on the iPhone and Android smartphones. You don’t even need a smartphone or the application to follow Marco’s photos though, just head over to web.stagram.com/n/maki to check out what he’s up to.

If you do have an instagram account, just search for Maki within the application and add him. Whilst you’re don’t that, don’t forget that Cristina is also an active Instagram, sure so be sure to add missscabbia as well!

Lacuna Coil Support Marilyn Manson in UK Show

Lacuna Coil have announced today that they will be supporting Marilyn Manson for a show at the O2 Academy, Brixton, in London on Thursday the 5th July. This will be the only UK date Marilyn Manson’s in ’Hey Cruel World’ Tour and you can see the full list of dates at the official website, and tickets are available here.

Hello friends in Portland! Unfortunately, we have had some serious troubles with our bus breaking down, and we won’t be able to make it to Portland in time for the show on Friday. HOWEVER, the fantastic club and promoter have been able to help us move the show to this Sunday (April 15)! Lacuna Coil to release ‘Dark Adrenaline’ Movie

Lacuna Coil have announced today that they intend to release a full length original DVD movie based on their most recent album ‘Dark Adrenaline’. The band have already released six videos related to the album: The Injected, While You Sleep, Carnage Euphoria, The Human Box, All You Can Eat, The Sane Madness – all available on a DVD that accompanies special editions of the Dark Adrenaline album.

According to the announcement the original movie brings all those elements together into a ‘Dark gothic story inspired by the music from Dark Adrenaline that will finally reveal the answers to the numbers we’ve used over the years!’ The full plot has not been revealed but clues to it can be found on both on the special edition album art and in the lyrics on Dark Adrenaline.

The new movie, a yet unamed, will be released on DVD in a special package later this year and will include all six members of Lacuna Coil in various roles.

Sonisphere UK 2012 Cancelled

Further to our news here, the UK Sonisphere festival in which Lacuna Coil were due to appear, has been cancelled. The organisers have confirmed the cancellation today after the news was originally leaked on the Queen website yesterday. The official announcement states:

It is with very heavy hearts and much regret that we announce the cancellation of Sonisphere Knebworth 2012.

Putting the festival together in what is proving to be a very challenging year was more difficult than we anticipated and we have spent the last few months fighting hard to keep Sonisphere in the calendar. Unfortunately circumstances have dictated that we would be unable to run the festival to a standard that both the artists and that Sonisphere’s audience would rightly expect.

We want to express our deepest regrets to the artists and to thank all the staff, suppliers and contractors who worked so hard with us to try and pull off what has proven to be an impossible task and we know how much they share in our disappointment. We also want to send a huge thanks to the Sonisphere fans who stuck by us and we are so sorry that we can’t fulfil what we set out to do.

Ticket holders will automatically receive a full refund direct from their ticket agents.

Lacuna Coils singer Cristina Scabbia appears in a two-page ‘Made In Italy’ article in the March 2012 issue of Big Cheese magazine.

In the article Cristina talks about all things Italian; from her love of the various types of Italian pasta, the fashion in Milan – and mentioning the video for Spellbound at Dolce & Gabbanna, to the ‘Midnight Pub’ where Lacuna Coil first met, and her choice of places for vacations in her home country. She even teaches us how to ask for a beer in Italian!
