Totally agree...Penelope Cruz gets my vote over Knightly, tho the film lacks direction and seems quite lost and confused as to what they want to actually do with Sparrow...
Bit like Alan in Hangover 2...making him centre of attention in the whole film cause the script is weak is very poor...
I didn't find 75% of anything funny, yet one girl laughed all the way through it...
Think the whole idea of churning out sequels for the sake of it seems a bit long in the tooth, but they will keep doing it with the amounts of money being made :/

I went to an advanced screening of 'Don't be Afraid of the Dark' last week, it's written and produced by Del Toro and that certainly comes through.
Although the film wasn't scary at all, I enjoyed it a lot! Definitely worth checking out when it's released.

13 Assassins.
Awesome samurai film - not disimilar to Seven Samurai and certainly feels like the kind of film Kurosawa would be making were he still alive.

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
I know this isn`t a new movie, but it`s the best I have seen lately, and if you already watched a movie with Jay and Silent Bob on it, then you gotta love Silent Bob`s speaches, and the reaction to the people around him after said speaches

Captain America!
Full of US patriotism (which, my US friends, tends to make us Brits roll our eyes..) and exactly what the film needed to be.
I loved every single minute of it. Though should add that when they did the stage show I could only think of 'Springtime for Hitler'! Damn you Mel Brooks!!

Parts of the Northern Quarter here in Manchester is apparently meant to looklike like old New York. As for what part of the film you see it, i have no idea as i havent watched it yet.
I did venture up there when they were starting to build the set. All the american cars were held in an under storey car park:)
