what i dont understand about the lyrics or songs is that cristina is engaged to marco and she said somewhere a while ago that andrea was engaged...but the lyrics that they write are mainly about unforgiveness and breaking up, never about a happy relationship or are they delving into their memories??

Hmm, I'm obviously not the best source of accuracy on this question, but based on interviews and such, it's known that the songs are based on life. their own lives and the lives of those close to them (when they hear a story or situation, they write about it). I believe I read that the song "Stately Lover" was about a friend of the band's...not any one of them in particular, so that could be one answer.

Also, Cristina has said in interviews that when they write, being in a melancholy mood tends to be best because if they're in a happy mood, they'd rather be out with friends having a good time, not locking themselves up and writing about how happy they are.

I would say it's safe to assume that many of the lyrics are based on memories. But that's just me.

I think cellardoor is pretty close. And since not every song is actually about themselves, chances are that many of the relationship-based ones are about other people who might be close to them.

There's always the possibility that they could be like me- you know, have a bunch of friends that just sit and boitch about how miserable their lives are. How their girlfriend/boyfriend dumped them and now they'll never get over it...

Im pretty sure they have been togeather for a long time so I highly doubt that its based on their relationship. In most interviews you see they say they are based on things people tell them about.
