I'm very glad you like them! :) Writing is very hard for me, so it's nice to see people like them! :) (and ofcource dragging a pen across a piece of paper isn't that hard  but I right with a lot of emotion! My emotion really run high when I write, so yeah that does make it difficult!)

kazynin wrote:
Yes i really do like them :) Infact,i've read quite a bit of poetry in this forum, but i can honestly say that none have touched me quite in the same way as your recent ones.

Your making me all shy here Karen! It's a great complement, no doubt about that, but I'm not good at receiving complements!

Thank you! :D

kazynin wrote:
Maybe it's because i can see some of myself in some of those..I mean of how i have felt in the past and even this week i've had a very thoughtful week,a bit of negativity and doubts creeping into my mind..So i can kinda relate to some of what you write.

Kinda funny really I just started writing stuff down a while ago! I never ever thought someone would relate to it! 8O But it's nice! :) I hope it helps you a little bit! :)

kazynin wrote:
I also like the way you write. It's very honest and fresh.I can certainly tell that you write with a lot of raw emotion.

You are not the first one who complements me on the way I write! A lot of people tell me how they think it is different and that they like it a lot! Thats always nice to hear ofcource, but to be honoust I don't know how I do it! It just seems to get out of my head that way! And well we both know my head works in pretty strange ways sometimes! :P Who would have thought that that would be a good thing in some cases!

kazynin wrote:
Writing poetry is not as easy as it seems. It's so much more than just dragging a pen across a piece of paper.I wrote quite a lot of poetry myself when i was younger and it seemed to just flow out of me,but i find it hard to do so now.I must admit,i don't often get depressed these days,i don't often feel negative.I felt the need to write this week,i tried, but i could not get out what was in my head down on paper,i could not express myself.I think i have a blockage in the drain in my brain

It's good to hear that you don't feel negative and depressed very often anymore! But it's too bad to hear that you can't seem to be able to write anymore! :(

kazynin wrote:
But,it's cool that you can express yourself in your poetry because it is a damn good release.

Indeed it is! I'm very glad I have this as a way of expressing things that are in my head!
I have always been a bit of a loner! An Einzelgänger! (sorry couldn't resist, that sounds so nice in German) I don't like too "bother" other people with things that are bothering me! Not doing this has turned ugly a few times! With me just losing control!
Writing things down has given me a great way of dealing with all kinds of things! It has really helped me through all kind of things and has really turned my live around!

Servant_Of_Satan wrote:
Alone is one of my favorites! Maybe even my most favorite!
It was also one of the most difficult things I have ever written, if not the most difficult! Emotions just took over my thinking and I cried for quite a while when I finished that one!
Everytime I read that one again I find it hard not to start crying again!
There are some very strong emotions in there!

kazynin wrote:
Yes,that really is a good one.I can totally understand how Alone was so difficult for you to write.I bet you felt a little better afterwards for doing so,i hope so anyway :)

Although it was by far the most difficult thing to write, it was also the most rewarding! (is that the word I'm looking for?¿? :|) It was something that really needed my attention! I'm very glad I took the time and gave it the attention it deserved! And yes I felt a lot better afterwards! :)

kazynin wrote:
You mention that you might throw some of your poems away.I would advise you not to do that. When i wrote mine all those years ago i ended up burning some and tearing the others to shreads.I guess at the time i was scared of them being discovered and getting laughed at.....it was silly to think that. Now of course i wish i hadn't taken such drastic action.I can understand that they stir up feelings in you when you read them again, but please don't throw them away.Instead, why not put them in a box somewhere. You can put them out of sight, then at least if you ever want or need to read them again, then you can always dig them out.To throw them away is such a waste. It's up to you of course.I just don't want you to regret it,like i do :)

That is good advise! :) I just might do that! Throwing them away might not the way to go indeed! You may never know if and when I'm gonna need them again! If I throw them away they are lost forever! If I store them somewhere they will be out of the way, but I will know where to find them when needed! :)
Thank you for that advise Karen! :D

Thanks Jacob! :D
Altough I'm not that bad at English, sometimes you just can't think of the word your looking for... very irritating! But I have that in Dutch too, so...

Thanks! :D

Oh and keep looking in the all your own work thread, I'm gonna write something kinda special soon! Or at least thats what I'm hoping too do, not sure if I can pull it of, but I sure hope so!

But I think I'm gonna put that one in a new thread if it's finished! (hope I get permission to start a new one! :P Don't want to get in trouble with the mods ofcource! ;) :P)

Anyways just keep your eyes open and you'll see it when it is done! ;)

Rik!

it's amazing how you can write good poems in more than one language. I have trouble with english, and that is my native language. Awesome work

Okey a short one this time!
But sometimes great messages just need few words! :)
This one goes out to 2 people who have really helped me through a ruff patch (maybe without even knowing) with there kind words and well just with there friendship really! :)
(well these two are not the only people who have helped me, but they are the ones with the biggest part in getting me to feel a bit better again! I also want to thank everyone else who has helped me, but these two people are special to me!)
Therefor I dedicate this poem too J & K! (I'm not gonna put there names in full, because they are both very intelligent people and they will certainly know that I mean them! ;))

Okey here goes:

Friendship… a strange thing…

Friendship, something strange indeed.
It’s something no one can do without.
It can help you through hard times,
and it can make good times so much better.

No one can live without friends...
and I am really grateful for the ones I have.

Friendship can be found close at home,
but also miles away...
That is the great thing about friendship...
it knows no boundaries...

Just like love...

Regards,

Rik!

I can't see why starting a new thread would do any harm, I look forward to seeing it :)

Your last poem - very true .

*does a happy dance* I have permission! Image :D

And believe me I am not planning on making a habit out of it, the rest I write is still gonna end up in here! But seeing this one is special I do not want it to get "drowned" in here! :) But first well have to see if I can even finish it!

Or you could go to his thread Custom Wallpapers because we did this together he has also posted it there! If you want to let him know what you think about it you can do it there! :)

A big thank you to muzz_jax and I hope you people will like it! :)

Regards,

And thank you Rik for allowing me to work with your poem I enjoyed actually trying to theme my artwork around something instead of just creating random images... It was good to work with... :D

I just hope Our fellow Coilers like the result as much as we both do..

let us know :blackmetal:
