“There«s no doubt, LACUNA COIL are on the way to the top! The success of the video for their first single ÒHeaven«s A LieÒ showed that this band also plays in the first league on TV screens, which results from the incredible charisma of singer Cristina Scabbia and the perfect interaction of these great musicians. The video-clip for ÒHeavenÕs A LieÓ was not only catapulted to Heavy Rotation on MTV2, but was also the first (!) ÓmetalÒ clip added to the voting show ÕOven FreshÕ (which the band won, above mainstream acts like Britney Spears and Pink). At the same time the response in Europe was similar and the clip was added on VIVA and VIVAPlus as well as picked for Superhot-Rotation on MTV Italia.
The second single ÒSwampedÓ from the highly acclaimed album ÒComaliesÓ will be released on June 7th! Again there will be a fantastic video, shot by the famous director Patric Ullaeus, who already worked with bands such as In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Passenger, Tiamat, Dream Evil and also pop artists like Sasha, Scooter or Natural.
LACUNA COIL is currently touring the US with mega-sellers P.O.D. for six weeks before embarking on two months of the respected Ozzfest-tour. The band was handpicked by the Osbourne children Jack and Kelly. End of June a European-wide limited 2CD deluxe edition of ÒComaliesÓ containing a bonus-CD will be released for the price of a regular CD.
