Lacuna Coil have announced today that, after the successful collaboration with DC – most recently with Dark Nights: Death Metal, the band intend to release a whole mini-series of comic books with them in lead roles. Each issue of the mini-series will be based thematically on the style and lyrics of each of Lacuna Coil’s albums.

Singer Cristina has this to say about the series – “We’re really excited about this. We love comics, and the idea of having super-powers is something that everyone dreams of! I can’t wait to see what fans think of this!”

Cristina refused to reveal what powers each of the band member have, but did reveal: “Inspired by the body-paint art from our first album, Issue 1 starts with Andrea and I coming out of a magical pool like fish-spirits that take over mortal bodies…”

The first issue, “In A Reverie“, is due for release in April, with “Unleashed Memories” to follow in May.

Lacuna Coil to Release HORNS UP Game

Lacuna Coil have announced today that they are to release a table-top card game ‘Horns Up’ through Kickstarter – the popular crowdfunding platform

The aim of the game is to get to the front of the concert whilst stopping others – “Whether you are a Coiler or a Gamer, whether you have headbanger friends or children with their horns up, this game is perfect for you. Super-fast set-up, easy to learn, and with every rule in form of an icon, avoiding the need to read. While the game marches on, the arena fills up, giving you a fantastic view. Putting your device on stage, you will be able to fully live the inebriating atmosphere of the concerts offered by Lacuna Coil.”

You can find out more about the game, including an introductory video starting, Andrea, Cristina, and Marco, at the ‘Horns-Up’ Kickstarter page. The Kickstarter will begin on the 26th March.
